Eddie Hueston
currently serves as Executive General Manager of Fair Park, a National Historic
Landmark for the Dallas Park and Recreation Department. The visitation of this unique park, located five minutes from downtown
Dallas, is now in excess of 7.5 million people annually. He has also served the
Department as Assistant Director (1982-1992) and Superintendent of Parks
(1979-1982) in Dallas.
Hueston has served the profession as president of both the Oklahoma (1974) and Texas (1994) Recreation
and Park Societies. Nine years as a
community college part-time instructor and 32 years as a presenter at the
Southwest Park and Recreation Training Institute at Lake Texoma, provided the
opportunity to work with students and employees in the profession.
He received a B.S. in Horticulture/Business from
Oklahoma State University in 1965.
