W. Donald Martin is an Associate Professor of Park and Recreation Administration at Indiana University. Previously he held positions such as: Assistant/Associate Professor, Central Michigan University (1968-1975); Superintendent of Parks and Recreation, Southfield, MI (1966-1968); Director of Recreation, Birmingham, MI (1959-1966); Recreation Program Supervisor, Oak Park, MI (1958-1959); Recreation Intern, Milwaukee, WI (1957-1958); and Playground and Community Center Director, Crawfordsville, IN (1948-1952). He received his B.A. degree in Psychology and Economic from Wabash College (1954), M.S. degree in Recreation Administration from Indiana University (1957), and Ph.D. degree in Resource Development with an emphasis in Park and Recreation Resources from Michigan State University (1972).
